This time it was taking the north loop. Lots of pictures.<\/p>\n<p>One of Yellowstone&#8217;s many waterfalls:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.atomacrossamerica.org\/6F5S5898-s.jpg\" alt=\"image\" title=\"image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Bacteria growing in a thermal spring. The different colors represent colonies living at different temperatures:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.atomacrossamerica.org\/6F5S5906-s.jpg\" alt=\"image\" title=\"image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Constant Geyser. So named not because it goes off continuously, but because it is one of the few non-periodic ones with frequent eruptions:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.atomacrossamerica.org\/6F5S5914-s.jpg\" alt=\"image\" title=\"image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Black Growler, a steam vent:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.atomacrossamerica.org\/6F5S5919-s.jpg\" alt=\"image\" title=\"image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Dragon&#8217;s Mouth, a vent that is receding into the hillside, forming a deepening cave:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.atomacrossamerica.org\/6F5S5955-s.jpg\" alt=\"image\" title=\"image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A bison with places to go and things to do (so he&#8217;s taking the highway):<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.atomacrossamerica.org\/6F5S5968-s.jpg\" alt=\"image\" title=\"image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Yellowstone Lake:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.atomacrossamerica.org\/6F5S5969-s.jpg\" alt=\"image\" title=\"image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And my Atom, in case you&#8217;ve forgotten what it looks like:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.atomacrossamerica.org\/6F5S5971-s.jpg\" alt=\"image\" title=\"image\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today was another day of driving around Yellowstone.
